Welcome to the Midwest Biodiversity Institute’s Photo Gallery. This Gallery is designed to give as many of you as possible the opportunity to submit photos of your ideas and views of the environments you have seen or encountered. We are interested in seeing the condition of the world through your eyes. We want to see the beautiful as well as the not so beautiful. We want to see the wild and the rural as well as the urban and developed environments. We hope this Gallery gives you a chance to express yourself and show your view of our world. Please read our Gallery Policy and Guidelines before submitting any photos.

I think this may be a type of rose? But it's blue?
Mountain range in some place in the world with blue clear skies
Our Harvest Party's success was due largely to the wonderful help we received from the Five14 Church of New Albany. Two large groups of volunteers came out - one group helped harvest & prepare the garden the day before the Harvest Party, and the second group helped with the food preparation & serving along with more garden chores during the event.
We grew nearly everything in this meal in our garden. Abenaki Calais Flint Corn is an heirloom variety specialized for colder climates and is meant for grinding. We learned to soak the corn overnight, grind it to make the masa, and then form it into tortillas served fresh from the skillet. Black bean salsa for dipping, and black raspberries with cream for dessert. (We did not grow the cow that made the cream.)
