Pre-approval is required and is based on the current ability of a trainee to perform the requisite sampling and laboratory methods and identify fish and/or macroinvertebrates to the required taxonomic level (species level for fish, lowest practicable level for macroinvertebrates, typically genus/species).

Yes - we ask that course participants provide their own transportation to and from field sites. However, we encourage car pooling and will make every attempt to minimize the number of vehicles traveling to the field sites.

Most will be provided on the final day of your course.

For Level 2, you should receive your results within 4 to 6 weeks. For Level 3, you will receive your results 6 to 8 weeks after you have completed and submitted the self testing requirements.

Yes, as long as the person who made payment/paid for the course sends an email message from the email account on record to info@mbieducation.com prior to the start time of the first day of the course. The e-mail must indicate the name, e-mail and phone number of the new participant.

On classroom days, we will provide some snacks, coffee and/or water. Participants can bring food to eat on the premises during the lunch break or travel to one of the recommended nearby eating establishments and purchase a lunch. On field days we encourage attendees to pack a lunch, although sometimes we are able to stop at fast food restaurants located on or near our planned route or destinations. Lunch plans for field days will be announced during the classroom sessions of the courses.

Yes, both of these options will be offered during the registration process.
