Our 2016 field season is well underway, and is keeping us busy! A major focus this year is our participation in the National Wetlands Condition Assessment, which began early this spring and has us at wetland sites across the country. Our river and stream work is also underway, with fish and/or macroinvertebrate surveys in Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, and Maine. Other current field work includes crayfish surveys in Ohio and Tennessee, and herpetological surveys in Ohio. This field season has presented us with new opportunities, and some challenges (see photo). We look forward to sharing some stories this field season from our hardworking crews, so be sure to visit us again soon.
